Children, Vacation, Stress

Maybe it's better to sunbathe on your home beach?

According to doctors, children under 14 should not leave their country at all, because their bodies are not yet strong enough, and a change in natural conditions, long flights and transfers pose a real threat of stress. However, if you do decide to take your child on vacation, be sure to consult an immunologist. The specialist will conduct a general assessment of health, point out weak points, and, of course, give advice on vaccinations.

Do not forget about travel goods, equipment – it can be purchased at retail outlets offering hunting and leisure goods. Ukraine is a country full of unusual places, and even without leaving the country, you can have a good time.

While on the beach, do not forget that clean water and fresh food are not just a nice slogan, but important components of your safety. In hot weather, the reproduction of pathogenic bacteria accelerates tenfold, so you should not drink water from untested sources or buy food from unregulated places (from hands). As for very young children, eating on the beach is strictly taboo for them, as are sunbathing from 11:00 to 17:00.

But using light headgear and creams that protect against the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation is not just possible, but necessary! Parents should also control the time the child spends in the water – 10 minutes is quite enough to swim without hypothermia. And taking a fresh water shower after that would be very helpful.

Take a thermos with you; it can be bought in the department where they sell everything for leisure and hunting. Ukraine can boast a large number of attractions that will be interesting for children as well.

And finally, remember about personal hygiene and your child's hygiene. Loose and comfortable clothing, beach slippers, clean hands, and a fresh towel are the key to a vacation without incidents and a trip not spoiled by the illness of a loved one.

If the trip is short (about seven to ten days), then almost all doctors unequivocally advise: young vacationers are better off staying home, because they simply will not have time to acclimatize, and therefore there will be little benefit from such a 'relaxation'.
