An aluminum angle is an L-shaped element made of aluminum alloy. Structures of this type are obtained by bending and cutting metal sheets. The thickness of the sides of the rolled product usually varies between 1-4 mm.
For the classification of aluminum angles, the following parameters are used:
Ratio of flange lengths. The sides of the angle can be equal or different. In this case, equal-leg aluminum angle is used more often.
Alloy type. The characteristics of the rolled product directly depend on it. Ordinary mounting or decorative products are made from alloys AD, D16, etc. Electrical products are made from AD00, A7 or A5E.
Processing specifics. To give angles additional resistance, annealing or hardening is used. Perforation and special bends (profiling) can be applied to the surface.
As for protective or decorative coating, anodizing, electrophoresis and painting (polymer or powder) are used for its application.
Angles of this type are characterized by chemical and biological inertness. They are not afraid of rusting and demonstrate good load-bearing performance. Metalwork masters value aluminum for its malleability to various types of processing and the possibility of joining by welding.
