Journalists invited to internship in Germany

Deutsche Welle is the only portal in Germany offering a bilingual (English-German) internship. Interns participate in long-term innovative projects, work at DW offices in Berlin and Bonn, in Brussels, Moscow, or Washington, and also complete a one-month internship at German radio Deutschlandradio. Most often, after completing the internship, interns are offered a position on the staff of Deutsche Welle.

Interns will receive a salary of 1590 euros for the first six months, after which the salary will increase.

This internship is bilingual, so the candidate is required to:

• be a native English speaker and have a good command of German;
• or be a native German speaker and have a good knowledge of English;
• or be a native speaker of another language but have excellent command of both English and German;
• in addition, candidates must have completed college or university education and have relevant work experience.

Applications for the program can be submitted on the official website. The application form includes information about education and work experience, as well as a motivation letter. Deadline – February 22, 2017. Candidates will undergo a multi-level selection process, including an interview in Bonn.
