The head of Roszarubezhtsentr, Eleonora Mitrofanova, told an agency correspondent that a certification method meeting all international standards has already been developed; it only remains to secure its approval by the Russian government and obtain permission for its use by Russian educational centers abroad.
Several thousand people study Russian in special cultural centers around the world, with 200-400 people per center. The number of students is especially high in France and Egypt. As Lenta.ru notes, students are currently only given certificates of course completion.
