In the cold season, even big bosses need warm clothes
Many people work outdoors, sometimes even in harsh climatic conditions. And having suitable winter workwear in their wardrobe becomes a necessity of life.
As everywhere, any work activity has its own dress code features. Working outdoors also has specifics in choosing clothing. First of all, it depends on the type of activity and climatic conditions. Thus, winter work suits for janitors differ significantly from suits for ski resort workers or mountain rescuers.
Distinctive features include: fabric, insulation, density, presence of certain pockets, material impregnation, presence of cuffs and collars, as well as the clothing's endurance to various temperatures (from -50 to +5). And, of course, the properties of the items – windproof, water-repellent, heat-retaining, etc.
For some outdoor professions, the outer appearance of the suits is necessary; they must be bright and beautiful, warm and light – for example, for skiers. Bright, warm, windproof, and suitable for extreme temperatures – for example, for rescuers. And a windproof and moisture-repellent winter work suit is suitable for janitors. And this is just a small part of the professions and their suits that provide protection in winter.
Despite such a number of distinguishing features, all work suits have similarities. What do they consist of: top and bottom made of dense fabric that will not get wet upon first contact with water. The bottom – pants or overalls, with legs tapered at the bottom to protect the legs from the wind. Most often they are double-layered. The inner layer has an elastic band for additional protection, while the outer layer provides design and warmth.
The top consists of elongated jackets with collars to protect the neck from the wind, sleeves most often with a 'thumb hole' – a slit for the thumb. The presence of inner pockets is also a distinctive 'feature' present in all types of this winter clothing.
Winter workwear is exactly what will protect a person from negative natural consequences. Properly selected attire not only creates a comfortable environment of warmth and convenience but also serves as a mandatory condition for compliance with safety regulations.
We should not forget that any clothing is designed and created to protect the body from any external influences – both natural and mechanical. Therefore, choosing clothing correctly, especially winter clothing, and even more so workwear, is the duty of every person, because it is exactly what protects life.
