Salaries of Swiss residents

Every year, the Ministry of Labor and Employment of the canton of Zurich publishes a report listing the current salary and wage levels for almost all major professions. This year, under the cover of this 800-page document, data such as the minimum wage received in the first year of work in a chosen profession and the range of possible income growth based on age and work experience are also indicated.

Of course, at first glance, these figures may seem fantastically high. But, as the Swissinfo.ch portal notes, it is important to remember that the cost of living in Switzerland is also very high. For example, a one-hour tram ride in the city of Bern costs 4.80 Swiss francs (price without discounts), which in terms of Ukrainian currency is about 130 hryvnias.
