Abroad? Willingly! But where to live?

Real estate abroad is a good investment in the future

Students willingly travel around the world. And they are welcomed everywhere with open arms: who would be against cheerful and easygoing people, still shy before elders, but who have already learned to work?

However, countries differ, and the familiar way of life may be inaccessible abroad. In their home country, students from the first year fully enjoy the freedoms of dormitories, but abroad, if they are not yet eighteen, they will most likely have to live with a family. In Canada, this method of accommodation is also optimal for senior students, because hotel prices are ‘steep’, and the ‘language immersion’ for which the trip is often undertaken is easier to carry out in the home environment of native speakers.

The student program Work and Travel USA provides an opportunity to earn money while staying in the United States, which makes it relatively easy to solve issues of housing, food, and daily life. According to the program organizers, a responsible approach to solving these issues consists of pre-signing rental agreements. They are arranged via the Internet even before departure to America.

Life in New Zealand is cheaper than in neighboring Australia. Nevertheless, hotel comfort may be unattainable for young people who do not yet have a steady income. Student residences gather peers from different countries around the world, but families of hospitable New Zealanders are not far behind in the number of foreigners they host.

French families providing shelter to foreign students may have housing both in Paris and in its luxurious suburbs – Versailles or Vésinet. Each student gets a separate room and the opportunity to live the most ordinary French life. Adult students prefer comfortable dormitories with rooms for one or two people, or even hotels with full board or half board.

Some parents, when sending their children to study, prefer to rent an apartment or house for them. Sometimes it is even profitable to purchase real estate abroad. This way of solving the housing problem is good because rising prices in many rapidly developing cities around the world allow for a profitable sale of the property after graduation. A successful sale of apartments, in some cases, can fully cover the costs of tuition and student support.
