How many applicants from the former Soviet Union countries wished to study at British universities is unknown, since UCAS provides data only for countries from which more than 600 applications were submitted.
However, these are not the final data on admissions to universities in the United Kingdom, since enrollment will continue up to the start of the academic year through the clearing procedure, which helps British applicants who did not receive offers from universities or did not have time to submit applications find suitable courses with vacancies.
