According to a representative of the border press service, this notification was received by the leadership of the Chop border detachment from the police of the Hungarian Republic. In particular, it states that stricter measures (fines) will be applied against citizens traveling by road through the territory of the Hungarian Republic and using vehicles in violation of established traffic regulations.
Special attention, the message further states, will be paid to the technical condition of vehicles and the use of winter tires. Therefore, drivers heading to Hungary should prepare their cars thoroughly for the trip. Also, if you have alloy rims, balance the wheels, and after installation, after 50-60 km of driving, do not forget to retighten the bolts. However, the condition of the rims and checking them for corrosion should be monitored constantly.
Experts also advise monitoring the condition of valves, which should ideally be changed together with the tires. Remember that during long parking or temperature changes, the valve deteriorates and starts to let air through. And according to border guards, the reason for stricter control by Hungarian police is precisely the difficult weather conditions.
