Dream job: 2000 euros for doing nothing
As Vinegret.cz reports citing the Expressen newspaper, the candidate will be offered lifetime employment, a salary of 2046 euros net, paid vacation and a pension. At the same time, all the lucky person will have to do is check in at Korsvägen railway station in Gothenburg in the morning and evening. The rest of the "working time" they will be allowed to do anything, anywhere.
The employee will be able to quit at any time without any penalties. In that case, a replacement will be found immediately. The project will run for 120 years.
A special fund has already been opened for the experiment, from which the slacker will be paid a salary. It already contains about 600,000 euros. The amount will grow over time through donations and sponsors.
The project starts in 2026. With it, the artists want to rethink the idea of employment in the age of digital technology and robotization. The authors are interested in what a person who receives unconditional income will do – sleep all day, take on their own projects in the arts, or become a volunteer.
