Ukrainian Consulate General operates in Hungarian city of Nyíregyháza

According to him, on that day, mostly Ukrainian citizens applied to the consulate general asking to extend the validity of or issue a new international passport. At the same time, the diplomat stressed that the consulate general has a sufficient supply of passport forms. He also said that among the visitors to the diplomatic mission, a significant place is occupied by Ukrainian girls from Transcarpathia who intend to marry Hungarian citizens and apply to the Ukrainian Consulate General to have all necessary documents certified.

The building of the Consulate General is located in Nyíregyháza at 1 Rákóczi Street. Citizens are received daily from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., except Thursday. The Consulate General works daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., except Saturday and Sunday, but citizens can contact it at any time in emergency cases (in particular, in case of loss of a passport, death of Ukrainians in Hungary). Currently, the diplomatic mission employs four people - the Consul General, a consul, and two technical workers.

As the agency reported earlier, on February 20 this year, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Anatoliy Zlenko opened the new Consulate General of Ukraine in Hungary during his visit to that country on the eve of the 12th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Hungary. The minister also introduced the new Consul General of Ukraine in Nyíregyháza - Serhiy Borodenkov, former head of the press service of the Foreign Ministry, who at one time worked in the Hungarian embassy.

The choice in favor of the city of Nyíregyháza is explained by the fact that it is the regional center closest to the Ukrainian border, which is especially active in trade and other areas of cooperation with Ukraine.
