The two-story bunker house, according to its designers, protects against bullets, shrapnel, and explosions of vehicles packed with explosives in its immediate vicinity. For an additional fee, the shelter can be fitted with bulletproof windows, each costing 1,300 pounds. For another 3,500 pounds, the house can be equipped with a massive entrance door similar to a safe door.
The bunker house is impressively large, has all amenities, and can accommodate several families at once. Such shelters are offered to clients who have free space on their plots of land occupied by villas, castles, and other structures, so they can quickly move into them in case of danger. Assembling them will require the efforts of four workers over 10 hours.
According to the manufacturers of such complexes, they were originally intended for use by the armed forces as command posts or in banks to equip special rooms. However, in light of the looming threat of war with Iraq and the likelihood of terrorist attacks on the British Isles, the shelter manufacturers decided to make this «product» available for purchase by anyone. As RIA Novosti reports, the steel company has already started receiving orders for the production of bunker houses.
