Associate Professor of the Department of Psychiatry, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Medical Psychology of the Orenburg State Medical Academy Pavel Bomov presented a report on the emergence of borderline disorders.
"As part of the work to modernize healthcare, a major overhaul of the X-ray room was carried out at the N. M. Karamzin Clinical Regional Psychiatric Hospital, new X-ray equipment was purchased, and repairs were made to the administrative building, admission department, day hospital, and children's department. The major overhaul of the outpatient department and clinical diagnostic laboratory is nearing completion," noted the Minister of Health of the Ulyanovsk Region, V. Karaulova.
In a number of inpatient departments, plastic doors and windows have been installed, wards, roofs, buffets, dining rooms have been renovated, and new linoleum has been laid. In addition, the institution's equipment with various technological devices has improved. For the first time in 50 years, modern disinfection chambers, steam sterilizers, equipment for refrigeration and food units have appeared. Also, 30 modern computers have been installed. Plans include the purchase of an automatic biochemical analyzer, a set of equipment for the clinical diagnostic laboratory and enzyme immunoassay, as well as a modern electroencephalography apparatus that will help conduct daily EEG monitoring of adults and children and expand the diagnostic capabilities of the service.
"Improving the technical condition of the hospital and equipping the diagnostic base with modern equipment will not only improve the quality of specialized care, but also reduce the negative manifestations of mental disorders and common morbidity among adolescents and children," noted the chief physician of the N. M. Karamzin Clinical Psychiatric Hospital, Franz Piontkovsky.
