Russia Has a Social Network for Tourists

Geoid has many features traditional for social networks. For example, you can set statuses similar to those in other social networks, upload photos, add other users as friends, and exchange messages with them. Each member of the social network has their own personal page, which displays their activity on the website. It hosts their uploaded photos and, unique to Geoid, travel reports and facts about different countries.

The tourist social network has a section called "Countries and Cities", which is a conveniently grouped list of all places visited by Geoid users. Service members will be able to view reports, facts, and photos related to each country and city. For example, the "Facts" section contains various interesting information about corners of the globe. There you can find links to other useful tourist websites, data about tourist attractions, both well-known and obscure, restaurants, cafes, and unusual museums.

Users should share impressions of the corners of the planet they have visited, post photos from their travels, and give advice to other tourists. This makes the social network interesting not only for avid travelers but also for those who, for example, are planning a vacation and venturing abroad for the first time. After all, if someone wants to get a firsthand impression of a country they are going to, they are unlikely to browse through other users' nicknames looking for people who regularly travel. It will be much easier for them to go to Geoid and search for the information they need. Valuable advice and the best statuses, vividly describing other countries, will help future travelers decide on a vacation spot and also solve other tasks, such as planning a travel budget.
