No work to be found, but visas can be obtained free of charge
This trend was first recorded in the country in the last five months. Moreover, experts predict its continuation due to the closure of temporary seasonal vacancies in construction and agriculture. And today, only one in five Polish companies is ready to provide jobs to applicants.
Recall that in February 2012, Poland already set a peculiar "record": the unemployment rate in the country increased by 3 percentage points in a month and amounted to 13.5%, reaching the highest level since 2007. Then, according to the Central Statistical Office of the country, 2.168 million people were out of work in Poland with a population of 38 million. This is 18,000 more than a year earlier.
At the same time, optimistic data regarding Poland recently came from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. As we reported earlier, from September 15, an agreement between the governments of Ukraine and Poland comes into force to abolish fees for processing national visas with a validity period of more than 3 months. By a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the corresponding agreement between the governments of the two neighboring countries was approved. The provisions specified in the document abolish the fee for processing national long-term visas for citizens of Ukraine and Poland who can stay on the territory of the other state for three months, but not more than one year.
