United Kingdom
When thinking about learning English, everyone first remembers, of course, the Foggy Albion, where they teach British English - the classic version of the language. For those who want to improve, deepen their knowledge, hone their pronunciation, it makes sense to go to this country. The flight is not far, and plane tickets can be bought cheaper. Among the disadvantages are difficulties in obtaining a visa: consular officials are quite unpredictable and can refuse anyone, regardless of income level. In addition, life in the United Kingdom is expensive, so you won't be able to organize language practice for pennies. But even in this country you can find fairly economical courses - about 180 pounds per week of tuition with accommodation. It is in England that students will find the best value for money.
USA
You can go to native speakers living across the ocean. Learning American English is necessary primarily for those who work with companies from the States, as well as for those who, having mastered British English at a very high level, want to improve. There are also many language schools for young people in the USA. Experts note that flying to America is, of course, far and therefore expensive, but on the ground prices are lower than in the United Kingdom. And so overall such a trip costs not much more than to the shores of the English Channel.
Canada
Same as with the USA, getting to this country is far and expensive, but tuition prices are quite humane, the cost of language programs and accommodation is low. Experts note that native speakers have good, clear, understandable pronunciation; another advantage of Canada is the decent quality of education. Schoolchildren are sent to learn the language in this beautiful and safe country with a high standard of living during summer vacations. Many special camps are organized for them, where language learning is combined with sports and excursions.
Australia
Very few people go to the most remote continent for English. The cost of such a trip is high, the flight is long, and tourist agency representatives call the visa 'one of the most difficult'. For those who take this step, a foreign language is probably not the main thing. Their goal is the Great Barrier Reef, nature reserves, Sydney. Why not add English to admiring the local beauty? For study, people go to this country for long-term internships, or even with the intention of further employment. Language centers will try to teach classical English, but for mastery, immersion in the language environment is important, and locals speak their own dialect of English, informally called 'Strine'. It is closer to British than American, but has pronunciation peculiarities and its own words.
Malta
In this land, English along with Maltese is the official language. According to experts, Malta is a country for those who want to combine leisure with something useful. It is not suitable for long-term academic study. The ideal option is to combine a seaside holiday with undemanding courses. This is an inexpensive summer destination where schoolchildren, students, and parents with children go on vacation. But our teachers later note a peculiar 'Maltese' accent in their students. Other experts disagree with this. In schools, they are not taught by Maltese; English people work there, so a characteristic pronunciation in students is avoided, they claim. However, negligent offspring can easily find a circle of communication that is linguistically unsuitable: many Maltese have married women from Russia, and their children speak Russian perfectly. In addition, there is a large number of immigrants from Egypt, Libya, Morocco with their specific pronunciation.
Other countries
English courses can be organized in any country. And so our people go to improve their language skills in Spain, Turkey, and even Latin America. Teachers from England with impeccable British accents can work there, using certified English methods. However, one should not forget that immersion in the language environment is important for learning - that's why it's worth going somewhere. In non-English-speaking countries, this is not the case, and therefore such courses can only be considered as an addition to leisure.
