In addition, it is envisaged that merchants must display substantial batches of goods offered at reduced prices, and not just a few samples to attract customers.
Professional trade organizations announced that they will fight against the adoption of this bill. They refer to the fact that a significant part of their trade turnover falls during the seasonal sales periods. According to Interfax, Germany has so far had two such periods per year - 10 days each in January and July.
