The unemployment rate in Germany exceeded the mark of 11.1% in February out of the total working-age population of the country. As reported by the news agency Rosbalt, such conclusions were published by the German Federal Employment Agency.
According to these data, in February Germany had 4.64 million officially registered unemployed, which is 39,000 more than in December. The N-24 TV channel noted in its commentary that this figure should be even higher, since under the new rules, unemployment statistics do not include unemployed people engaged in various retraining courses. Together with illegal unemployed, the TV channel believes, the number of people without work in Germany has long exceeded the threshold of 5 million.
