As noted by the deputy dean of the Faculty of Economics and Law of Odessa National University Eduard Kuznetsov, due to the lack of state licensing of universities for MBA programs, the educational institution does not have the right to openly announce enrollment, so many of them are forced to "disguise" their business schools as departments of postgraduate education. "We are building a house on shaky foundations," he said.
At the round table meeting, the issue of legal justification for the work of universities on MBA programs was also raised. In addition, participants considered two concepts for their development, developed by the president of the Ukrainian Management Foundation Vladimir Zabolotny and the rector of the Kyiv Institute of Investment Management Yaroslav Golovko. According to the latter, both programs have much in common and complement each other, so the main thing is not which option to adopt, but how to implement the concept. Vladimir Zabolotny stressed that the association needs to develop criteria for determining the quality of education in business schools operating on MBA programs as soon as possible, otherwise foreign business schools will fill this niche.
Participants of the round table included representatives of universities from Kyiv, Odessa, Kharkiv, Lviv, Khmelnytskyi, Kherson, as well as business representatives and the BMEU project ("Business Management Education in Ukraine"). As noted at the meeting, this is the last round table in a series of similar events before the 5th annual national conference "Development of Business Management Education" to be held on November 13-15 in Kharkiv, at which the concept is to be adopted.
