Ukrainian blogger Ekaterina, who moved to Poland and talks about life abroad, shared the drawbacks of Warsaw that she encountered personally. Among the main problems, she named high expenses, a lack of sunny days, and the condition of her hair, the deterioration of which she associates with local water. She talked about this on TikTok.
At the same time, Ekaterina's observations are based on her personal experience and do not reflect the living conditions of all Ukrainians in the Polish capital.
How much does life in Warsaw cost in 2026
The blogger named the high cost of living as one of the main disadvantages of Warsaw. According to her, it is difficult for a person with an ordinary job to save significant sums, since a considerable part of the salary goes to housing rent and food.
"You will never save big money here if you work at an ordinary job. Because most of your salary will go to expensive apartment rent and food," Ekaterina noted.
The cost of living is especially important for those who are only planning a move and expect not only to cover current expenses but also to build up savings. The blogger believes that with an ordinary salary it is not easy to do in Warsaw.
The Ukrainian woman called the weather another drawback for herself. Ekaterina is originally from Nikolaev, so after the move she particularly felt the difference in the number of sunny days.
"I come from the south of Ukraine, so compared to Nikolaev, there are very few sunny days for me in Warsaw. And, by the way, this year it was even determined that December was one of the cloudiest months in recent years," she said.
Why the Ukrainian woman linked hair loss to the water in Warsaw
Ekaterina paid special attention to the local water. According to her, in about a year and a half of living in Warsaw, the density of her hair noticeably decreased. Some of her acquaintances and subscribers have encountered similar complaints, as the Ukrainian woman claims.
"And water is generally something everyone is silent about. During the year and a half of living here, my hair density decreased about twice. And the most interesting thing is that it wasn't only me. Many of my acquaintances and commentators also complained about this problem," said the video's author.
At the same time, the claim that it was exactly the water in Warsaw that caused the hair loss is the blogger's assumption. The cited source does not contain medical research or laboratory data confirming a cause-and-effect relationship.
What the Ukrainian woman said about work in Warsaw
Another controversial point Ekaterina named was employment with Ukrainian employers in Poland. She advised her compatriots to approach choosing a job carefully.
"Because, unfortunately, our own people profit from our own people," said the blogger.
At the same time, she did not name specific employers or cite any statistical data, so this assessment should also be regarded exclusively as her personal opinion.
Despite the listed disadvantages, Ekaterina stressed that she generally likes the Polish capital. In her words, problems with expenses, weather, and other peculiarities have not changed her attitude toward the city.
"But even despite these points, I simply adore Warsaw," the Ukrainian woman concluded.
