As the government office reported last Friday, the Council of Ministers of Serbia and Montenegro also decided to cancel the need to obtain visas for visits to these countries for up to 90 days for citizens of European Union countries, the United States, and a number of other countries. In total, the list includes 40 states. Russia and Ukraine are not on it; their citizens are allowed to vacation without visas only in Montenegro, while a visa will still be required to visit Serbia, reports ITAR-TASS.
The liberalization of the visa regime, the government statement notes, was undertaken “within the framework of a policy of developing good and partner relations, mutually beneficial cooperation, and full openness of Serbia and Montenegro towards EU members, EU candidate countries, the United States, and other highly developed countries.”
