This is stipulated by an agreement between the health ministries of Ukraine and Lebanon, which was signed last week in Kyiv during an official visit to the Ukrainian capital by the Lebanese president, reports Interfax-Ukraine. According to the document, the Ukrainian and Lebanese health ministries will develop and expand cooperation in the fields of cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, obstetrics and gynecology, eye microsurgery, neonatology, orthopedics and traumatology, and the export and import of medicines.
The agreement also provides for the exchange of information on the latest equipment and pharmaceutical products, exchange of specialists for training and consultation, and direct contacts between medical institutions. In addition, higher medical educational institutions of Ukraine will provide training for Lebanese citizens on a contract basis. Ukraine will also be able to send medical specialists to work in Lebanese hospitals on a contract basis.
