Experts hope that Poland is not threatened by a mass exodus of Ukrainians to Germany
Deputy head of the Polish-Ukrainian Economic Chamber Andrzej Drozd noted that Polish employers will be obliged to respond to the new law. "Of course, the Polish market must be attractive for citizens of Ukraine or other countries. In this regard, employers must also take into account that the salaries of these workers should change in the future: they should be at the same level as all salaries in Poland," said Andrzej Drozd.
However, experts predict that at most several tens of thousands of people will take advantage of the changes in German legislation. In particular, Paweł Kułaga from the employment agency Foreign Personnel Service estimates that Poland is not threatened by a mass exodus of Ukrainians. "This is evidenced by a study conducted by the Polish-Ukrainian Economic Chamber. Over 1,000 respondents were surveyed. Poland will continue to be the final destination for labor migrants from Ukraine," the expert said.
As reported by Polskie Radio, according to the National Bank, about one million two hundred thousand Ukrainians work in Poland. According to a survey by the Polish-Ukrainian Economic Chamber, 70% of Ukrainians positively assess their work experience in Poland, and more than 60% want to live in Poland permanently.
