Ukrainians rank third after Germans and Britons among foreigners visiting Poland for tourist purposes
The number of Ukrainians who come to see and travel around Poland is increasing every year. Three years ago, they took third place, ahead of Russians, among foreigners visiting Poland. And now they are catching up with the British.
Moreover, as the publication notes, Ukrainians in Poland spend almost as much money as Germans do. Poland is financially attractive for them because it is cheaper than Western Europe, experts explain.
Ukrainians already know the Polish Tatra Mountains well, but the Baltic Sea coast is still little known to them. Therefore, this week a tour of representatives of Ukrainian tour operators of the West Pomeranian region began. Currently, tourists from Germany and Scandinavia dominate there. Local authorities want tourists from Ukraine to join them.
As for Russians, currently half as many come to Poland as in 2014, reports Polskie Radio.
