The Amazing World on Bulgaria's Mountain Slopes

Bulgaria's ski resorts are always crowded

Among winter resorts, Borovets, Bansko, and Pamporovo are especially popular, helping to make a vacation in Bulgaria unforgettable. Extreme sports enthusiasts will appreciate the first two ski bases, which have fairly steep slopes that allow for a good speed and a rush of emotions during the descent. Pamporovo has a more predictable track, which is ideal for learning to ski.

Tourists have access to only four international airports in cities such as Sofia, Burgas, Varna, and Plovdiv. However, it is more convenient to fly into the capital's airport because it is the closest to the resorts.

As for food and accommodation prices, they are most affordable in Bansko, least in Borovets, while Pamporovo has average rates. This situation arose due to high competition between Bansko and Borovets, which caused prices to drop. Ski services are provided here at a fairly moderate cost.

Bansko has the longest tracks (about 65 kilometers), but they are mainly designed for experienced skiers. Borovets has shorter slopes (about 40 kilometers), and Pamporovo's are even more modest (17-18 kilometers).

All resorts, besides developed ski infrastructure, have a variety of leisure spots, including mehanas – small private restaurants. Here a visitor will always find something new in Bulgarian culture, so one should visit as many of these establishments as possible. The ski village in Bansko is particularly developed, so winter holidays and tours in Bulgaria are increasingly associated with this resort. However, the most lively village at night is Borovets.

All winter resorts are developing dynamically, but Pamporovo and Borovets are somewhat inferior to Bansko, where about 200 small hotels have been built in the last three years. There are no large settlements near these ski bases, which provides a unique opportunity to completely forget about the city bustle. However, near the resort of the same name lies the town of Bansko.

Winter holidays and tours in Bulgaria are an unforgettable and beneficial trip that will not only allow you to breathe clean air on the mountain slopes but also get a well-deserved break from hard work.
