For students who do not have sufficient command of German, there is an opportunity to study in Germany in English. German universities offer more than 40 specialties for which one can obtain a bachelor's or master's degree. Unlike neighboring Britain, education at public universities in Germany is free. This is an excellent option for those who have a good command of English and want to get a European diploma.
Initially, students study in English and gradually learn German. Introduction to the theory of the German language takes place in mandatory parallel courses during the first one or two years of study. As a rule, lectures in German begin only from the second year. And in senior years, instruction is conducted entirely in German. Diploma projects are also, as a rule, defended in German. The teaching program follows this scheme: 20% English + 80% German or 50/50.

Future students of English-language specialties need to submit documents not only about their initial higher education, but also, of course, about their knowledge of English. As a rule, a TOEFL certificate is required (500-550 points). For some specialties, such as computer engineering at the University of Duisburg, it is necessary to provide confirmation that the student has already studied German in their home country (approximately 240 class hours).
For admission to bachelor's programs, it is necessary to provide documents confirming completion of at least two years of study at a university in Ukraine or the CIS. For master's programs, a diploma of higher education is required.
You can obtain a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Karlsruhe, and it is also best to study chemical engineering there. Such a promising specialty as biotechnology is taught at the University of Hamburg-Harburg. Communication technologies are taught in English at the University of Ulm. The duration of study in an English-language specialty does not differ from standard programs. A bachelor's degree can be obtained in 8-10 semesters, a master's degree in 10-12.
