As tour operators expect, the cost of a trip to Hellas will fall by 3-20% compared to 2008.
The price of a holiday in Greece is largely determined by the cost of air travel. According to expert forecasts, it will not change and will remain at last year's level. Moreover, if aviation fuel becomes cheaper, then the airfare will also become cheaper, which is especially beneficial for those planning to visit Greece on group tours. Experts also say that the upcoming spring season has its own characteristics. Tourists will choose short tours to Greece and prefer to stay in economy-class hotels. Only a small percentage of Russians will opt for expensive hotels.
Furthermore, it is expected that this season Russian tourists will reduce the total cost of their holiday in Greece by saving on excursions. After all, vacationers who have been eagerly awaiting their holiday all year typically strive to organize their leisure as efficiently as possible, namely to visit the maximum number of attractions in a short period of time.
Meanwhile, tour operators are currently in no hurry to give a preliminary assessment of the work of the new visa centers. According to them, this organization in Moscow opened only in the fall, so its work is not yet visible, because the peak season is in summer, let alone the regional centers? However, they also acknowledge that opening new visa centers in the regions is a very necessary and useful thing, even despite the fact that the majority of tourists are concentrated in the capital.
