Tourists most willingly visit France – 82 million guests visited this country. In second place is Spain, which was visited by 59 million people, third place is the USA with 56 million tourists, and fourth is China with 55 million guests.
As for revenue in the tourism sector, the USA leads in this indicator, earning $96.7 billion in 2007. In second place is Spain with revenue of $57.8 billion. Third place is France with $54.2 billion, fourth is Italy, whose earnings reached $42.7 billion.
German tourists spent the most ($82.9 billion) and Americans ($76.2 billion), reports Travel.ru citing the publication Gazeta Wyborcza. And the total revenue from tourism amounted to $856 billion.
