Turkish Riviera: a vacation for the elite

The Coast of the Turkish Riviera

The Turkish Riviera is characterized by warm sea and crystal clear air with high humidity. That is why the travel agency in Astana POEDEM recommends the optimal period for a vacation on the Turkish Riviera – from May to October.

Kemer attracts vacationers mainly with its clean, warm sea and beautiful surroundings, among which the traveler will be amazed by the Olympos National Park. The center of the resort consists of a yacht harbor and a pedestrian zone. The nearest airport, a drive of about 50 minutes, is in Antalya. Not far from Kemer is the resort of Tekirova.

Antalya is a city on the Mediterranean coast, and together with the resorts in this area, it is one of the most popular tourist regions of the Turkish Riviera. The importance of Antalya is confirmed by the fact that it has an airport that is widely used throughout the season.

The city is surrounded by several national parks and major attractions. A walk through the historic center is certainly worth your attention. To the west and east of the city center, beaches stretch out, where new resorts are located – such as the Lara Kundu resort, offering luxurious rooms in five-star hotels.

The resort of Belek is located approximately 35 km east of Antalya. This luxurious resort was built in the recent past and consists mainly of hotel complexes built in close proximity to the sandy beach. All hotels offer their guests a wide range of services at a high level, and therefore Belek is suitable for the most demanding tourists. Belek is also, thanks to its local courses, a popular destination for golf enthusiasts.

Another Turkish resort town – Side, is located exactly halfway between the cities of Antalya and Alanya. In ancient times, Side was a major Mediterranean port. Today, history lovers can admire its remarkable monuments – such as the Roman amphitheater and the ruins of ancient Greek and Roman temples. In addition to the historic center with its romantic alleys, tourists are also greeted by modern hotel buildings near the beaches. From the offered daytime and evening activities, undoubtedly, every traveler will choose something to their taste.

Alanya is the easternmost resort of the Turkish Riviera and is located approximately 120 km from Antalya. The very rich history of Alanya is reminded by, in particular, the fortress with mighty walls reaching 33 meters in height, the Red Tower. Tourists can expect beautiful beaches with a gentle entry into the sea.

In close proximity to Alanya, there are smaller resorts – such as, for example, Konaklı – a quiet town with beaches and shopping and entertainment centers.
