According to Interfax-Ukraine, the corresponding law was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on February 6. Under the law, foreigners and stateless persons who have been subject to a decision on expulsion and who evade leaving Ukraine, or when there are good reasons to believe they will evade departure, and with the sanction of the prosecutor, may be detained by internal affairs bodies and state border guard bodies and are subject to administrative expulsion in a compulsory manner. The law comes into force on the date of publication.
