An amazing creation of nature – coconuts – is forbidden to be exported from the Seychelles.
Every country has its own laws, and even if they seem absurd to us, it is still worth knowing them in advance.
So, from Australia you cannot export orchids and ivory products. From the Dominican Republic, taking palm tree heart is prohibited, although, one might ask, why would you need it anyway? From Madagascar, you cannot take away valuable butterflies, insects, and reptiles. Probably, the locals fear that in this way we will terribly disrupt the ecological balance, and all the harmful insects will move from the island to us.
In New Zealand, you can enjoy kiwi, but taking it with you on the road is prohibited. Apparently, the country would become impoverished of the fruit. However, kiwi is also a bird. So, you cannot take it on the road either. From Hungary, it is impossible to take meat. Hungry Hungarians simply would not forgive such blasphemy against the change in GNP. From South Africa, you will be prohibited from exporting porcupine quills, and admit it, that's exactly what you need so much...
In Egypt, it is easier to install a double-glazed window on someone else's territory than to export seashells. Customs officers do everything to stop the violation... Also, you cannot take away jewelry worth more than $3,000, which, however, does not stop tourists from putting many chains on their necks and ears – as if that was how it was upon arrival. The country will not give you a crocodile stuffed animal either. From Thailand, you cannot take jewelry without a receipt and large Buddha statues. From Turkey, you cannot export jewelry of large value; from Cuba, cigars (apparently, they are a national treasure there).
From the Maldives, you must not take shark jaws under any circumstances. Terrible collapse awaits the ocean, which will lose a whole set of shark teeth. From Brazil, they will not let you take skins; from Seychelles – coconuts; from Kenya – snails and animal skins; from Japan – combat swords. The only reasonable and understandable ban is the restriction on the export of antiques, since these items are dear to every country.
