The variety of types and materials allows using blinds in almost any interior
Currently, blinds are becoming increasingly popular. If earlier they were used only to adorn windows in offices, today blinds are often used in home improvement. Especially since it is no longer necessary to bring this product from abroad – you can buy blinds in Ukraine (Kyiv) everywhere, and when ordering from an online store, they will be delivered directly to your home.
Modern blinds differ both in the material from which they are made and in the type of construction. In practice, horizontal, roller, and vertical designs are most common. Let's get to know them better.
Horizontal blinds
In this variety, the slats are arranged horizontally. Such blinds are made from thick fabric, aluminum, or wood. Bamboo slats look very original.
The advantage of horizontal blinds is that they visually expand the space. They also fit well with many types of existing interiors.
Vertical blinds
This type is good because it visually increases the height of the room. As a result, the ceiling appears higher, and the room itself seems brighter and more spacious. Vertical blinds are made from fabric treated with a special impregnation. Dust does not settle easily on it, so it is quite simple to maintain. Models made of plastic, wood, and metal are less common.
An additional advantage of this design is that it is very easy to control the penetration of light into the room.
Roller blinds
Roller blinds in the open position roll up into a small neat roll. In the unfolded state, the fabric fully or partially covers the window, limiting the penetration of light.
Today, models made from both thick and translucent fabric are available for sale. The latter option is preferable for poorly lit apartments located on the first floors of buildings or excessively shaded by trees.
