As it turned out later, we made the right choice. The wedding on the motor ship took place on May 29 (yes, the saying about "marry in May, you'll rue the day" – not for us). The only thing I was really worried about was the weather. I hadn't gone on motor ships often, but I realized that the air temperature on them is cooler, and the combination of a light wedding dress and wind with precipitation did not suit me. But nature smiled on our celebration. I had heard a lot about "cold" weddings in August, when the peak of brides begins, but May really surprised us: the temperature was +28, so the coolness coming from the water turned out to be just right.
We were pleased not only by the good weather. The decoration of the hall and the banquet was really memorable. We decided to order the table decoration from the same company, without resorting to outside services. Some prefer to have the food prepared from their own products, but that seemed too fussy to me. The only thing we bought ourselves was the alcohol. By the way, few people overindulged in it – a beautiful cruise is not compatible with large portions of alcoholic beverages.
The staff pleased us with their attentive attitude to all the guests' wishes. A special "thank you" to the four waiters who served us. It was immediately obvious that they constantly handle weddings on motor ships. I must say that among the 41 invited guests, there were many people who were picky about service and food. But none of them complained about the service level or the dishes, which, by the way, were delicious. We ordered for each person two salads, a hot appetizer, two types of hot dishes to choose from (the choice was between fish and lamb). Of course, all this was complemented by the wedding cake, snacks, and a banquet dish.
We had 6 hours at our disposal. At first, 6 hours of the banquet on the motor ship seemed too long. But in the end, they flew by unnoticed. At the end, we released balloons into the sky, which matched the red-and-white color of our motor ship. Moreover, these colors stand out brightly against the sky, and the red-and-white balloons remained visible to us for a long time afterward.
After renting a motor ship, I did not regret anything. The wedding on the water turned out to be many times more interesting than my friends' events.
