Capital labor market: development trends

Work in Moscow: in-demand specialties

Experts note: despite the fact that the volume of supply and demand is constantly changing, in certain areas the situation is more or less stable. First of all, we are talking about the construction sector, as well as the production of building and finishing materials. The demand for both the materials themselves and the services of specialists in this field remains consistently high even in times of crisis.

The sphere of wholesale and retail trade remains no less popular, and the chance to find a high-paying job exists for sales consultants, sales managers, and marketers.

For several years in a row, there has been demand in the capital labor market for specialties in IT and communications. Also attractive are the sectors of public catering, entertainment, commercial medicine, and printing. And, of course, there is a stable demand for workers in narrow specialties: positions such as cashier, "rolling stock operator", "design engineer", "dispatcher", and some others are in demand. Demand is steady for specialists in logistics, transport, international, suburban, and intra-city passenger and freight transportation.

Speaking about the development trends of the capital market, experts note that steadily high demand will continue for workers in technical specialties, but the emphasis is now on developing innovations in the economy and industry. Mid-level engineers, system administrators, technical department workers, as well as power engineers and mechanics will still be in demand.

Every year, demand for versatile specialists – managers, administrators, advertising specialists, medical workers, cooks, drivers, metalworking specialists – is increasing.

But the professions of accountants, economists, lawyers, and commodity experts are gradually becoming less prestigious and in demand. An oversupply is already felt in these industries, so applicants who are thinking about obtaining professional education should already consider whether legal or economic education is really necessary.
