As reported by Deutsche Welle, among all university graduates, engineers working in the chemical and automotive industries receive the highest starting salaries in Germany. In the first case, their annual income reaches 53,000 euros before taxes, while automotive engineers earn 51,000. Chances for such a salary depend on the region: in Baden-Württemberg, for example, these specialists can expect above-average income.
IT specialists earn the most in Hesse. At the start, they can expect 52,000 euros per year, but only those employed in banking and mechanical engineering sectors. On average, IT specialists start at 44,000 euros.
Graduates of medical faculties earn about 50,000 euros per year in their first years of work. Doctors with foreign education can only practice in Germany with a special permit.
Whether to obtain a master's degree or not is an important question for marketers. In Germany, their salary depends on it: for example, the income of a master's degree holder in event management is almost 20 percent higher than that of a bachelor's. The most profitable work for marketers is in automotive concerns. Here they can expect 53,000 euros per year.
Chemists and physicists who find a job immediately after graduating from university can rejoice at a high salary: usually their annual income exceeds 50,000 euros. Geographers, however, earn not so much – on average 35,000 per year.
The average starting salary for teachers is 37,000 euros per year. At the same time, Germany is currently experiencing a shortage of primary school teachers and technical subject teachers. Therefore, this profession can be called very promising.
Sales specialists benefit most from working in southern Germany: in large chemical and electrical engineering concerns, as well as in medical equipment manufacturing companies, they earn up to 52,000 euros per year.
Working with personnel in auditing companies, energy and automotive concerns is the best option for a young HR specialist. It is in one of these business sectors that they will get the most favorable contract: at least 42,000 euros per year.
Frankfurt am Main is a gold mine not only for experienced financiers but also for newcomers. Analysts with a master's degree in this city can earn up to 55,000 euros per year (the highest salary in this field), while tax consultants earn much less – about 40,000.
For distributors and logistics managers, a master's degree is also important. Such specialists earn on average a quarter more than bachelors. Their annual salary in Germany is 48,000 euros.
Of course, such high starting salaries are due to the demand for specialists in the labor market. The lowest income is for sports trainers and travel agency workers, the highest is for those employed in the chemical or oil refining industry.
