Truskavets was the first resort in Western Ukraine to have electricity installed. The first surge in popularity came after a regional railway line was built through the city, and after the advent of such a novelty as electricity, guests began to come to Truskavets in droves.
While now the resort town is ready to welcome guests in any season, at the beginning of the last century it could only offer holidays for five months – from mid-May to September.
Many buildings constructed during the early development of Truskavets as a resort have been preserved in good condition to this day. This city is famous for its architecture, which attracts tourists no less than the mineral water pump rooms.
During the period between the First and Second World Wars, the attendance of Truskavets increased fivefold.
In total, there are eight mineral water springs operating in the resort town. Not all water in the pump rooms can be drunk; some springs are used only for filling baths.
