The top three are Oslo, London and Copenhagen, with Dublin in fourth place. American cities, on the other hand, are losing ground due to the weakening dollar: New York ranks only 18th, behind Tokyo and Brussels.
According to researchers, shopping in London will cost 26% more than in New York. Among Asian cities, Tokyo remains in first place, followed by Seoul, Singapore and Hong Kong. The cheapest are Kuala Lumpur, Buenos Aires and Mumbai.
As reported by Travel.ru, for locals the ranking looks slightly different: after London, Oslo and Copenhagen, New York immediately follows – the cost of renting housing in these cities is very high. The highest salaries are recorded in Zurich, and the lowest in Jakarta, Delhi and Mumbai.
