Berdyansk Spit
The very first wonder awaiting its guests is the wonder of magical healing. The coastal region of the Azov Sea is rich in its sanatorium and resort facilities. The healing air rich in salts and ozone, muds and mineral springs can help restore the faltering health of vacationers. Therefore, relaxation in Berdyansk can safely be called a combination of the useful with the pleasant.
The second wonder is the Berdyansk Spit. Washed by the sea on both sides, it resembles a huge curved fishing rod twenty kilometers long. On the western side of the Berdyansk Spit there are beaches and the open sea, while on the eastern side a completely different world of shallow waters, reeds and islands, as well as salt lakes, opens up to the view.
The uniqueness of this place also lies in the rare combination of pristine nature and civilization. Today, modern hotels are being built on the spit, and old Soviet-era recreation centers are being reconstructed. The world of birds - sandpipers, seagulls, swans, herons and ducks - can amaze the imagination.
The recently opened Safari Zoo has rightfully been recognized by residents of Berdyansk as the third wonder of their city. Tourists will be delighted with the opportunity to visit it. Here, on an open-air area, more than 70 different species of animals live. Amur leopards, Ussuri tigers, African ostriches and zebras, unique dwarf ponies and many other rare animals will surely delight zoo visitors.
The fourth wonder of the city is the park named after the legendary Lieutenant Schmidt. This is a place of pilgrimage for all the 'children of Lieutenant Schmidt', tracing its unique history back to the legendary times of the publication of Ilf and Petrov's work about Ostap Bender.
The fifth wonder is the water park with the romantic name 'Cape of Good Hope'. This is the largest entertainment center in all of Ukraine. The style of an ancient castle immerses you in a festive atmosphere. The exotic plants blooming here greatly impress the imagination.
Museums and festivals belong to the sixth wonder, and the seventh is the glorious Primorskaya Square, a walk along which will leave a memory for a long time, if not forever.
