It's better to think about your health in advance
Cardiovascular diseases are the scourge of our time. Statistics are terrifying: almost two-thirds of the population dies from these diseases. That is much more than from the swine flu epidemic. The annual number of sick leave certificates issued for hypertension, ischemia, myocardial infarction, angina pectoris, etc., runs into thousands.
Also frightening is the fact that cardiovascular diseases are getting younger not by the day but literally by the hour. Now it is not uncommon for a person under 40 to receive a medical certificate and sick leave due to the same myocardial infarction.
There are many causes of cardiovascular diseases. These include congenital heart defects, various inflammatory processes occurring in the heart lining, regulatory disorders in blood vessels, rheumatic complications, and others. It is important to detect the disease in time and prepare for its treatment.
But this is only possible with timely referral to a medical facility. And how often do we endure infectious and inflammatory diseases on our feet, not even bothering to rest with a sick leave. The world will not stop without us, but a person may leave life prematurely.
A feature of the Russian mentality is that visits to doctors, especially to a cardiology center, occur only when the disease is severe, sometimes critical. Then urgent surgical intervention is required, which sometimes does not produce a positive effect. But all that needed to be done a little earlier was to be more attentive to your body, lead a healthy lifestyle, treat rheumatism, flu, tonsillitis in time, not act like a workaholic hero, and take a medical certificate and sick leave when feeling unwell.
Experts note that many people are at risk – from ordinary teachers to wealthy businessmen. We can buy a certificate for the traffic police if we really want to drive a car, but we cannot buy ourselves new health if we do not take care of our body. Stress, poor nutrition, sedentary lifestyle, smoking, excess weight – all this destroys us and our heart.
If you have unexplained pain in the sternum area, irregular heart rhythm, shortness of breath, consult a cardiologist immediately. Your work, no matter how important, is not worth your life.
