Saudi Arabia to Reduce Number of Foreigners

7 million foreigners live in Saudi Arabia, which is more than 30% of the kingdom's population. Of these, 5 million are workers, and the rest are family members. Foreigners make up two-thirds of the workforce, while the unemployment rate among Saudis reaches 9%.

The SEC also decided to open the areas of communications, transport, including pipeline, education, electric power, insurance business, and printing to the private sector and foreigners. Foreign media will be allowed to open bureaus in the kingdom.
