As Vinegret.cz notes, the ranking only included sites with paid admission, so it does not include, for example, Charles Bridge. For most attractions, attendance increased over the year, due to an increase in both foreign and domestic tourists.

It is worth noting that in the year before last (the latest available data), tourism accounted for 2.9% of the Czech Republic's GDP. It employed 239,000 people. For comparison, agriculture employed half as many people and contributed 2.8% of GDP.

The ten most popular Czech attractions in 2018:

1. Prague Castle – 2.44 million visitors (+2.8%)

2. Prague Funicular – 2.03 million visitors (-1.6%)

3. Prague Zoo – 1.43 million visitors (-1.2%)

4. Dolní Vítkovice (Ostrava) – 1.36 million visitors

5. Prague Aquapark AquaPalace – 0.82 million visitors (-1.9%)

6. Aquapark Aqualand Moravia – 0.79 million visitors (+9.9%)

7. Petřín Tower (Prague) – 0.7 million visitors (-2.2%)

8. Pinkas Synagogue (Prague) – 0.68 million visitors (+1.1%)

9. Zlín Zoo (Lešná) – 0.65 million visitors (+2.9%)

10. Old Town Hall (Prague) – 0.6 million visitors (+58.8%)
