A special real estate department will be created under the auspices of the Ministry of Justice together with the Ministries of Internal Affairs and Finance. As stated by the Dutch Minister of Justice Ernst Hirsch Ballin, in the course of its activities, the special real estate department will cooperate with the country's prosecutor's office, tax inspectorate and police representatives.
As reported by Lenta.ru, the department's tasks will include monitoring the transparency and purity of transactions concluded on the Dutch real estate market. Realtors, construction organizations and mortgage brokers will be required to provide the department with complete information about the transactions they have carried out. The department will also have the right to control the pricing process, if necessary pointing out facts of unjustified overestimation of real estate value.
