Development of Tourism in St. Petersburg

More and more tourists are coming to the northern capital of Russia

The number of entertainment opportunities has increased, new hotels and mini-hotels of Saint Petersburg have opened, offering recreation for every taste and budget. But along with this, negative features appeared. Private individuals and entire companies wanted to profit from tourists by offering services for booking rooms in hotels of Saint Petersburg and direct rental of apartments.

The clever minds of scammers learned about the profitability of this business and began to invent various tricks to obtain their own benefits. At first, they appeared only among 'private owners', offering to rent an apartment on incredibly favorable terms. After cooperating with them, tourists lost either some money or completely all valuable items and money. Then law enforcement agencies advised to exercise maximum caution when dealing with unfamiliar people. But the scammers came up with new tricks.

Sadly, such people even turned up in hotels. Admit it, any entrepreneur benefits if you purchase an expensive product rather than a cheap one from the same category. The same happened with hotels. Tourists began to be told that cheap available rooms were not available. This led to some settling for a higher payment, while others went to neighboring mini-hotels and found more attractive accommodation options there.

Understanding the tourists' difficulties, scammers created special websites for booking apartments and rooms in hotels and mini-hotels of Saint Petersburg. On them, one can see various options – from cheaper to elite ones. Even phone numbers are provided for contact to gain visitors' trust. Many agreed to the scammers' favorable terms, sending them money for the work done. Only upon arriving in St. Petersburg did tourists realize they had been deceived.

But in the tourism industry, there are always good companies that care about the fate of tourists. For example, today the agency 'V Piter' has gained considerable popularity. Its employees effectively select accommodation options for tourists and do not charge a fee for this. And the cost of rooms does not increase, but even on the contrary – becomes lower. This is possible because the agency 'V Piter' enters into partnership agreements with some hotels.
