Sometimes just an email from the inviting person is enough. But occasionally consulates require notarized letters with bank statements and other documents.

If you want to study abroad, you will need, for example, a student visa to France or any other foreign country. It allows you to stay in the country for the entire period of study. Holding such a document, you generally do not have the right to work.
