Balchik resort is located in northeastern Bulgaria on the Black Sea coast

Passport control is behind me, no contraband with me, and here I am walking out of the terminal shining with chrome steel and glass into the fresh Bulgarian air. I ordered a taxi right at the special counters of carrier companies, which are present in both terminals for the greater convenience of arriving passengers. However, you can also get a car at the western exit. Everything is official and at a pre-indicated rate.
The ride in a soft foreign car invites reflection, but the driver, a good-natured Bulgarian, doesn't mind having a chat, especially since he studied in the Soviet Union and speaks Russian quite well. And so, exchanging phrases, we finally enter the center of Sofia. A beautiful city, no doubt. It's no wonder that tours to Bulgaria are so praised; it's worth going there at least to admire Sofia's churches and mosques. However, the socialist past will long remind itself with typical faceless buildings.
However, it's too early to relax, because today there is still a trip to Balchik – the final destination. It is in this city, located in the northeast of the country, that one of the largest botanical gardens in the world and the residence of the former Queen Marie of Romania are located. And in general, it is such a beautiful city that tours to Balchik are in demand among tourists wishing to relax on the Black Sea coast. Small two-story houses covered with red tiles are surrounded by greenery on the seashore under the blue sky of Bulgaria.
But now, at last, the transport is ready and we are leaving for Balchik. Now I will be able to see if what was written about the city in the guidebook is true.
