Poland launches helpline for Ukrainians

Ukrainian citizens will be able to get legal advice on legal employment in Poland

According to the official, this situation should change – all workers in Poland should pay taxes to the state treasury.

“Ukrainians will be able to get legal advice on legal employment in Poland. They will be able to find out what conditions need to be met to work legally. They may also be advised on how, for example, to write a complaint against an employer and bring about a labor inspector to handle a specific foreigner’s case,” emphasized the head of the Polish State Labor Inspectorate.

As reported by Polskie Radio, Wiesław Łyszczek also noted that Ukrainians often become victims of unscrupulous employers who do not pay wages on time and do not provide appropriate working conditions.

The helpline for Ukrainian citizens (phone number: 22 111 35 29) operates from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The phone is staffed by officials with knowledge of the Ukrainian language.
