Modern car rental service won't leave you without wheels
A car has important advantages over trolleybuses and subways. It delivers the driver and passenger directly to the desired location – which cannot be said about buses and trolleybuses, which sometimes require two or three changes to reach the right street. Moreover, on a car trip, the driver takes only those companions he wants – but in the subway, a neighbor could be a pickpocket or a suicide bomber.
If a person does not have his own car but wants to ride, he can use the services of a company whose line of business is car rental. A rented car is needed for those who are about to get married (a limousine is used here), those who are moving to another apartment (in which case a truck is ordered), or those who just want to ride for sightseeing purposes.
Sometimes some of our compatriots go on a trip abroad. And abroad, various surprises may await them – including with car rental. After all, traffic rules in a foreign country may differ somewhat from the traffic rules of Russia or Ukraine. For example, in some European countries, the well-known "right-hand rule" among drivers does not apply, and for transporting a child of a certain age, the use of a child car seat is mandatory. In addition, in some countries there is left-hand traffic.
In every country, every city, there may be its own car rental rules. If you plan to rent a car, say, in Chisinau, you need to enter the query "car rental Chisinau" into the Google search engine, and then carefully read several of the suggested answers. But some car rental rules are the same everywhere – the person renting the car must have a driver's license and a certain driving experience. In foreign countries, a Russian citizen may also be required to present a foreign passport and a credit card.
When renting cars abroad, some companies provide the renter with mandatory theft and accident insurance. The issue of booking a car should not be put off until the last moment, otherwise it may turn out that the car of the most desirable model has already been rented by someone else. Do not forget to stock up on a road map, or better yet, a GPS navigator.
