However, if the country house is used primarily for relaxation on weekends or holidays and during vacations, this task is often somewhat facilitated by the fact that outdated but still functional furniture and household appliances are moved to the country house from the city apartment. But if the country house is the primary residence and the apartment is a secondary one, then new furniture is naturally brought into the house. A special case is a house inherited. It will almost certainly require removing old furniture, not to mention repairs.
Due to the relatively large size of a country house, its furnishing often stretches over several warm seasons for technical and financial reasons, especially if the house has an initially non-residential but promising space such as an attic. It is good when the development of the attic is included in the architectural design of the house, meaning it has stairs to the attic (or mansard). Otherwise, building an internal staircase to the attic floor becomes quite a complex and expensive undertaking.
But even without considering the attic, a country house is usually settled gradually. First, essential furniture and household appliances are brought in. It is hard to imagine a residential country house without a gas stove, refrigerator, dining table, bathroom, toilet, bed in the bedroom, sofa in the living room, coat rack in the hallway, and other basic items. Only later are secondary interior items brought into the rooms.
On the one hand, the tactic of gradually settling a country house may seem less than ideal. After all, in such matters, a person usually wants to get everything at once, that is, to become the owner of a well-appointed house within at most one warm season.
But on the other hand, by furnishing the house gradually, you will significantly reduce the number of household chores per unit of time and make the process of settling the house more thoughtful. And so, in the end, you will get a more comfortable home, avoiding many pitfalls and unnecessary expenses associated with them.
