Romania – in the top ten best countries for vacation
In particular, the publication recommends visiting the Southern Carpathians, namely the Făgăraș Mountains, the highest mountain range in central Romania, which offers stunning views of glacial lakes and green valleys. At the same time, two of the world's largest tourism corporations, TUI and ITS, may stop sending their clients to Romania due to the fact that the country's image abroad is being spoiled by the current political situation and the inaction of the Ministry of Tourism Development of Romania. In particular, this ministry is accused of failing to implement planned projects to invest 3 million euros to attract German tourists to its market.
As reported by «Romania Today», German tour operators are dissatisfied with the tense political situation, where the key issue has been the impeachment of Traian Băsescu. Romanian Foreign Minister Cristian Bărhălescu visited Berlin in an attempt to persuade the German side to remain in the country's tourism market.
