Peru focuses on wealthy tourists

It is believed that there are about 80 million people in the world who follow similar principles while traveling, which is about 10% of the total number of regularly traveling tourists. Representatives of the Lima tourist bureau believe that Peru has all the capabilities to serve travelers who prefer luxury holidays, and the number of their trips could grow by 20% annually. And as wealthy travelers become more numerous, Lima prefers to focus on developing expensive accommodations and the ability to receive private jets.

Peru already has tour operators specializing in accommodating only millionaire tourists, reports Travel.ru citing Living in Peru. Owners of such firms believe that it is more advantageous for the country to position itself as a tourist destination for the elite than to turn into a country of mass and budget tourism.
